Weather:
After a cold and damp week at the Nurburgring, some of F1's travelling circus are already reporting rain in Hungary.

British commentator and former driver Martin Brundle travelled straight from Sunday's German grand prix to the Hungarian capital, scene of the eleventh round of the world championship at the Hungaroring this weekend

"Pouring with rain," he wrote on his Twitter channel. "Looks set to stay that way until mid week."

International weather reports say the outlook for the weekend is indeed better, but with a continuing risk of rain and the absence of Hungary's usually scorching conditions.

"It is raining a lot here and it's not so warm!" Team Lotus' Brazilian test driver Luiz Razia said.

Official F1 site suggests overcast/wet weekend too

So this will be another dull and potentially damp, not to mention cool race huh? Oh joy!

Maybe not. The track should favor the Red Bulls, but both Alonso and Hamilton do well here and the cooler temps will help them both. So it could be another tight race.

I believe 2006 was the last wet race at Hungary.

Two drivers, Alonso and Button, won their first ever race here, in 2003 and 2006.

I'm hoping they get the DRS zone right. Otherwise this could be a snoozer.

Obvious and logical place would be start finish straight.but I dont think we had DRS on S/F line this year so far!....

The only other straight I could think of is the one from T3 to T4, but it's not long enough, plus T4 is a blind corner which isn't safe to pass. :noway: :noway:

Anyway, while waiting for the race to start, we shall allow Alonso to amuse us. 8) :hihi:

Actually, I would much rather (and I do feel dirty for saying this) Alonso wins the race than Vettel.

Then again, if I had it my way, Vettel would get a DNF in the next 3 races. (sorry Lyria). :p I'm more than prepared to sacrifice Massa for this purpose, who shall be directed to run into Vettel at every opportunity. :reallyevil:
