Have to say, that was the most nasty crash i have ever seen in all kind of sport/real life.

His halmet came off with Colin edwards hitting on his head and poor guy went good 20/30 meters on track with his face getting rubbed. yukkkk! RIP Marko.

so, correct me please, is it just halmet straps? that hold the halmet to the riders neck? there has to be something other then that mounting halmet with rest of the gear.. Shoking
Tough Luck!

RIP Marco. :(
Listen, it was hard enough to drive those heavy old cars back then under normal circumstances, but with a crazed monkey clawing you at the same time, it becomes nearly impossible! http://www.timflock.com/jocko.htm

Hmmm, given the description, I don't want to see it.

Wise choice, I did and it's horrible for all concerned :yaynot:

I mean it's terrible for Simoncelli and his family, friends and fans etc., but spare and thought and just try to imagine how Rossi and Edwards must be feeling now given that they drove into him and he died. They didn't have any way of avoiding him from what I saw of it but how is that going to affect them as well? It has to doesn't it? HOw do you begin to get over something like that?

technically, they didnt drove into him. Marco lost control and was dragging inside along, collecting edwards and rossi, who found themselves nowhere to go.

Well whichever way you want to put it, they still had serious contact with him and that's got to be upsetting for them as well is all I'm saying.

especially when you consider that Sic was like a younger brother to Rossi, they used to hang around together, they used to train on dirt bikes together, lived a few miles from one another, I mean what happened is really terrible but when you consider than one of riders involved was a close friend, if not more, of Sic it makes me sick

A good read about Rossi and Ducati's failure, albeit some months old
