Lyria, could you or someone else confirm if the problems have been sorted out.

Cougar I have been in touch with Admin and he told me it was an issue with an ad server, that has been bypassed and he assures me this site is now safe again. Google has cleared it as safe as well and my AVG virus scanner has stopped warning of a threat also.

I googled and found this place http://www.seoserp.com/safe.site.checker/ it's supposed to be able to tell you if a site is safe or not. I just now tried the forum on it and it comes back as safe according to them.

Seems good to me too, no more warnings.

Dev wrote:There's a simple Firefox workaround that I used to turn off the warning. Go to Tools>Options>Security and turn off 'Block Reported Attack Sites'...

Yeah, maybe so but that only turns off the warning. It doesn't remove the threat. Its about as good as shooting the messenger. :eerie:

Who cares? As long as I could get in and out of here, that's all that matters. :clint: :clint:

You don't care if you leave your system vulnerable?

I turn it off when I come on the forum, and turn it back on once I'm done. As Mika said...'No risk!' :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

If you say so. It occurred to me though that there really might be a problem with the site and it seems our admin has confirmed that.

That's interesting. Any idea how or why its coming to this conclusion. False positives?

Lyria is a legend. In spite of feeling off colour (drastically affecting her post-count here), she managed to follow up on the potential security issues. Like I say, legendary.
