Well, it didn't get much of a response. Of course, we occasionally get into history discussions in the F1 thread and Chat sections. The question is, if we had a seperate history thread, would we get 3-4 people regularly contributing to it so as to make it worth while?

I say we just give it a shot

If it doesnt work the section is easily removed and the threads put somewhere else so no worries

I also think we should get in touch with the management RE the encyclopedia and their plans with it, bit of an coordinated effort

Well, I would contribute to a history section, and there are a few history threads scattered across the forum that we could move over....so....we should probably give it a try. Do you want to talk to management about this (Lyria and company)?

Now this is a fairly corny christmas song, recorded by some guy as a graduation assignment, me and a couple of (girl)mates from the choir were asked to record the chorus.

In a somewhat related incident, I was browsing the miscellaneous F1 books in our school library, and stumbled across a 1997 season preview. It's incredible, almost terrifying, to see how much has changed. Those were the days; when DC was the young upcoming Scottish star, when Fisichella was Italy's next great hope, when Barrichello was supposedly losing his lustre after a fruitless time at Jordan, and Frentzen was destined to beat Schumacher. They looked at the prospects of the Ligier, Footwork and even the Lola team, who would perhaps struggle to a few points in their debut year. :rotflmao: And of course, their detailed analysis of all the tracks - in particular the Argentinian, Austrian and Portuguese circuits, all of which were deemed to be poor tracks that weren't really up to F1 standard. At least they got one section right. :hihi:

What about making a sub forum in the racing section? Just a thought.

I think it would sort of get lost, as it does now in all the F1 threads, chat threads and other racing threads.
