Well so far there is no bad news coming out, that has to be a good thing. I am really hoping to hear something positive at some point, though they've warned it could be a long wait.

In other sad news, Jenson Button's Dad John died yesterday. He seemed like a really nice guy and it seems a lot of people will miss him being around at races, none more so than Jenson of course. My condolonces to Jenson and his family at this awful time for him.

I'm very sorry for Jenson. Losing your father is a very sad moment in your life. :(

Sad news - always seemed to be at the centre of the party in Jenson's championship year.

Sad for Jensen.

It is not sounding very good for Michael.

There is a lot of educated guessing going on the outside of hospital. and of course they all could be correct at the end, but for now, experts on the inside remain silent - as it should be, IMHO, and one can adopt any mood they wish based just on that. I remain hopeful with full understanding, that Michael will never step competitively into any racing car again, but considering his respected age, that's fine with everyone, I guess. Whether he will live another year, or next forty, that's in his book, and no one can do anything about it, thus, I am in peace with it all, and for sake of his and his family I continue to keep my fingers cross.

The slow drip (leaked) news appears to be taking significant turn for the worse. No emergence from coma, no/little response to stimulae and now pneumonia (apparently common in coma patients).

Still hope, but being sadly eroded.

Well come good news on his condition on the front page. Hoping for the best.

Yeah, the problem is the time. He's not been sedated for over a month now and so he is a full coma. The longer it goes on, the worse things gets.

Very sad.

There is still a chance he'll come around and all will be well, but I think the chances of that happening get less every day he remains unconscious sadly.

I am still hoping for good news, but sadly not expecting it.

"Michael is making progress … He shows moments of consciousness and awakening," Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm said in a statement Friday.

My feeling is that people around Michael, including Ms. Kehm would have preferred to say nothing at the moment about his status, but most likely responding to criticism that total silence is not helping here, thus they issued this statement. I am of course guessing in my assessment, but based on their modus operandi to-date, I was taken little by surprise they broke the silence, yet I am happy personally to hear that.

Nothing more than hope, but if a picture is worth thousand words, then this one is speaking volumes.

Yes Balue, so it seems. Progress was made, Mrs. Schumacher said. I think it's a start, very good start. After couple of decades of being a happy fan of his, I am delighted (as is Michael's favorite expression).

GMM
The "most difficult time" in Michael Schumacher's "struggle" is now over. That is the positive message delivered by the F1 legend's wife Corinna, in a brief letter of thanks in the official 2014 German grand prix programme...

...being aware that rehabilitation will take now long time.
